ever fall back in love with your S?

I get to hating mine when I don't get to drive it often as well. Once the car warms up, and the idle settles out, weather and traffic permitting, I remember why I love this car Leaving my neighborhood, I have about a 1 mile stretch of road that's 2 lanes, not very busy, and trees on both sides with no homes or buildings in sight. My own personal drag strip I won't go into any details of possibly law-breaking speeds, but on days when I leave my neighborhood and happen to catch that road empty, I get butterflies in my heart. I know I'm about to have some fun, even if it's the only spirited driving I'll get to do the entire trip. That one little moment makes up for all the ill feelings I have for my car that pile up from time to time.

I have fallen back in love with it several times, Spring 2003, Spring 2004, Spring 3005, Spring 2006, and am looking forward to Spring 2007 to fall in love yet again...
And yes, the same thing still happens to me with the other Honda on the far side of my garage, my '90 CRX-SiR...

I have been driving my commuter car for several months now. I was putting too many miles on the S with my long commute. Then I drove a friends WRX and started contemplating selling the S for a new STI. That all changed when I finally took the S out again this past weekend. The S puts a smile on my face like no other car I have ever driven. Now my plans are to sell my Triumph motorcycle for a turbo kit in the spring. I just can't see me ever getting rid of my baby.

I love the S. I only went one day (yesterday) w/o driving it due to the snow/sleet/freezing rain and 20 degree temps. Went out today and well I was happy as could be. Even got enough enjoyment to spin the tires in 2cnd. Also helps that I finally got taking off in first down.
Was a little disheartend this morning when I started her up she shut right off because it was so cold yesterday and this morning. SO I started her back up and reved and she was fine.
Now if only I had some money to powdercoat my wheels, get 4.77 gears, a system and I'd be in heaven

My brother has a 497 WHP/ 433 ft lbs TQ EVO and I know how you feel about the S sometimes.. When income gets better I might get a EVO in white. I fell back in love with my S when I added the best mod I have.. The Comptech sway bar!
