Some people tend to get lost in the fun and rush and forget about safety...
Just be carefull, with this car especially. This is why I am riding with the slow group on the October 20th meet...

Props to the fellas that are glad I'm ok, no props to those who think I should have died...lol.
To be honest, I really wasn't in that much danger. I'm going to start a flame war here, but I must tell the truth... I have a 5 year old daughter... *Big hush*
I consider myself to be a really fun driver, I drive tail-out all the time (not with anyone in the car) and can manipulate a car really well, I am very used to this car at it's limits. This next part is borderline Twilight Zone, but who cares...
I fancy I can feel what the car is going to do, and it's limitations. Now, I could be full of $hit, or I could be a natural driver...dunno. The absolute truth is that I've never caused myself or anyone else to have an accident, and I've never really driven at 10 10ths, when there was any danger involved, since Kristin came...it's just not worth it. Besides, the way I drive, I can have mondo fun at 25mph.
Anyway, after reading my post, a couple people I know came down on me a bit, and I'm sorry I made it sound life-threatening, it really wasn't that bad. It's true I was going very fast, and the car did catch me in the net it's caught many S2K owners in(surprise oversteer), but in no way was it truly life-threatening. If I actually would have made it to a tree it would have been more of a miracle than making it out without a scratch. It did scare me though.
I just want everyone to know that I'm truly not an idiot, but I did buy this car to flog, and I don't live near a racetrack...so flog it on the street I will, but I will always be very, very careful.

Glad to see that you're alright. Just be careful out there. When a bunch of us witnessed the M roadster accident on our way to a restaurant, we all slowed down a bit and made sure we drove within our limits and the cars.

A thread like this should be taken to the top to keep the awareness going, especially as the cold winter months arrive!
