People may change their mind over time.
Other oils may be available now.

Expected OCI 10000 miles, currently at 275 miles.

my bad about the wrong forum
but i thought engine oils need to be change around every 3k?
does it depend on the different type of oil that u use?
what do u guys think about redline? and whats the difference between 5w30 and 10w30

There is no use for 5w30 in your area of the country as you have no winter to speak of. Even sub freezing temperatures are fine on 10W30. All the 5W will do is make your oil thinner on startup and this is not a good thing necessarily. Is it really bad -- no not really since it is a recommended weight but there is no advantage to it for you.
