I have a question. Last weekend, I pickup a used '07 thats has 8700 miles. I noticed everytime I start the car up when it is cold, the car is very loud (and sometimes a strong vibration). I had a 350z before but it wasn't this loud.


Is this normal?

I park in the garage so the sounds magnifies.

i have noticed the car does run and idle a little louder when its cold i just baby it and shift at like 4 grand till she warms up

 

Well yea its gonna be louder, ur RPMs are really high to warm up the car..

 

Yeah, its normal. Your engine is still cold, should be about 1900RPM when you start up.

I agree. I have invidia exhaust and you should hear that on a cold start in the garage..., Revs about 2000 RPM but quickly comes down to about 900.

 

i didnt even notice that it was loud. i just thought it was normal. my old car used to warm up at 2k then went down to 1.5k.
