Engine Check Light On !!! WTF !!! HELP !!!
Hi
I realized it's my bad day. Tonight I was going home from my girlfriend's home, I saw the engine check light goes on! This morning was nothing, everything was normal there. I have 10,000 miles on my 02. I purchased it around 7 - 8 months ago. Completely stock engine except the JDM headlights. What's the problem with my engine? I need some advice, otherwise I have to go back Honda tomorrow. I am worrying, Peace!!!!
Thanks
Bryant

it could be something as minor as the gas cap not put on all the way i believe... i had the check engine light a few times, each time i brought it to the dealer... they should repair it.. specially since your car is still pretty much new

uhhh.. im not sure completely... but i think once the check engine light goes on... it has to be turned off by the dealer... so if it WAS the gas cap... even tightening it now... the lights still gonna stay on... did you put in gas tho? from your gf's house?

Resetting the ECU/Check Engine Light

[*]Put the key in and turn to on and then turn to off, leave the key in.
[*]Locate the fusebox - its above your left foot if you are sitting in your S2000.
[*]Locate the fuse - right side of panel, 2nd fuse from top (3rd slot from top). It's the 7.5A fuse that's right between a 15A and a 7.5A. Its marked "Back Up".
[*]Locate fuse pulling tool - its stored about 4 inches to the left nestled in a group of relays.
[*]Pull out the fuse with the removal tool (if necessary), count to ten and stick it back in (key off).
[*]After removal wait for 10-15 seconds.
[*]Put the fuse back the right way, not upside down otherwise it will not work.
[*]Turn the key and start the engine and that should take care of the check engine light and resetting of the ecu.
[*]If you reset the engine light and it returns, then there can be something wrong with your car. Resetting the light, as described above, is a troubleshooting tip to see if it is merely a glitch in the ECU or perhaps some modification that tripped it off and needs to be reset.

Very good post. I guess I have to try it tomorrow, it's getting late here. Better don't start the car. I try to reset tomorrow, if the light still stay there, I will go back Honda. Hopefully they will get it done in 1 or 2 hours.
Thanks
