End of S2000 production?

The only documented source to date on the future of the S2000:
On August 26, 2002 Automotive News released a report outlining future products from each of the Asian manufacturers. The report said the S2000 would receive restyling and re-engineering with 2005 model year.

LISTEN TO YOUR SALESMAN! He knows best! He is very reliable and has absolutely no ulterior motives what-so-ever. My MY2000 was the only (and last) year this car was actually made. And I believe this to be the truth. All those other MY's out on the street is purely a figment of my imagination. They really do not exist.
(OK now, someone with a MY2001 please post the same thing, then someone with MY2002, then MY2003. Hell, let's do this every time this question or statement comes up. If we do it long enough, it's bound to come true.)

Ferrari 308/328...
Datsun/Nissan Z-car...

Why is their a thread like this at least once every other month?
Do people want to believe the S2000 will stop being produced?
Are people really dumb enough to believe a car sales person?
As for the limited S2000 run bit, I too can't make any sense of it. The S2000 is not limited with 12,000+ per year produced, nor could Honda sell as many S2000's as Civics even if they wanted to.
