Default Electronic Dash/Gauges...Good or Bad???

I still haven't driven an S2K...but it's digital dash is perplexing me.

What exactly is digital about it? Is it like the '95 Preludes?

Personally, I love seeing needles spin while driving (Tach, MPH).

Anyway, what gauges does it have when fully lit? Does the RPM go up with digital bars?

The Boxsters have the tachometer as the main gauge (needle), and the speed as the smaller one...

Does anyone have a nice pic of a Stook's digital dash?

Thanks =)

Ever seen the show "Knight Rider"? Imagine that without Michael Hasselhoff.

In reality, the dash works very well...easy to see in daylight. No major complaints here. (some people even think its cool).

Actually, I find the bar-shaped tach hard to read during spirited driving. Maybe it just takes time to get used to.

I didn't like the digital dash on the old Preludes too much but the one in the S is sweet!

I like the digital dash. Will say that the tach takes some getting used to, but it is easy to see day or night.

I've been thinking about that myself. Hyper Rev mag lists it as 140,000 Yen which is about $1,120 US. I'd say we won't be able to get one for under $1,500 here in the US.

I like the digital dash...you can see your speed and the tach easily. My passengers usually think it's pretty cool.

Before I bought the S2000, I was concerned about the digital gauges, but I'm a believer now and I wouldn't want the old analog again. It's much easier to to pinpoint shifts at a certain RPM and your speed is never in doubt. I just find I much more aware of the speed and rpm as I drive.
