However, VAFC can make up to around 10hp on an AP1, the only downside (and the reason I have decided to go for an AIM EMS) is that the computer unlearns partial throttle settings (what you use most of the time) so you should reset you ecu every week or so, although you will retain your WOT gains (as mentioned above).

I am curious if this is also true of the Greddy emanage as well? I would assume that this un-learning would only affect pre-ecu modifications? If so what are some post-ecu piggybacks?

Thanks Assassin, I think that is very odd how these ECUs seem to work (relearn). What is the most effective way to reset the ECU? just unplug the batt?

Pull the backup fuse for 30 seconds. It's in the third slot from the top on the right, underneath the dash.

Usually I would recommend after any kind of mod that affects a/f ratio. But it isn't necessary as the car will eventually learn it, just might speed things up a bit.

Anyone know of an after-ecu correction piggyback? One that possibly wouldn't need to be reset?

"AIM EMS" Can't believe I typed that, what a long day.

James Evans has the dyno packs.... my old 2.0L got 193 on it with a VAFC, but the shortblock only had half an hour running time.

a 2.0L with AEM EMS got 217 on the same dyno, and recently a 2.2L got 226 on the same dyno with AEM, J's header and some other bolt on's...

Seems like AEM EMS works if tuned properly.

Like stated above, Shawn Church's dyno reads much higher than a typical dyno.

I have had the Greddy eManage Ult for 3 months. I have been really happy with it. I have to get another tune as the winter gas here in CT is causing detonation. Luckily it has 4 dip switches 2 for Fuel trims and two for Ignition. So i will have one setup for winter gas and one for summer gas.

You don't need to reset/pull fuses with the eManage. Which is a big plus.

I have an AP2. I gained 15hp peak and ~10 across the board. I picked up 30 ftlbs of torque at 2200 rpms. The base line dyno was done on the same day as the tune.

Check out my results in my sig VVV

I think it's a Church's dyno is reading a little high.... EMS can get you nice gains though...

What are the tuning options for the MY06 s2k's?

I know the VAFC and AEM EMS aren't compatible with the new ECU.
