Ebay Spoon style snorkel quality questions?

I have a fiberglass one also. $68 with combined shipping.
Hairline cracks on the backside seams, but easily fixed with a little epoxy and does not show.
Did not take off bumper or supports for install.
For the rubbing:
Go to a hobby or craft store, look for a product called "funky foam" (yeah it sounds silly). It is dense foam sheets sold in different thicknesses and colors and is available with and adhesive backing. Just put a small square on the underside of the hood. Works well to prevent sqeaks, rattles, and padding cubbies to quiet them down. I even used it to prevent chaffing between the BYS Spoiler and trunk. Cheap and easy to cut for a clean install. This stuff is all over the FD! It's one of those how did I live without it things.

I just removed the hood latch mechanism, radiator air deflecter thingy (cooling plate, whatever), and factory box intake end. Cut the deflector as needed and reassembled- deflecter front bolts only-snorkel-latch-then rear deflecter bolts. The deflector is a PITA to install/remove so you have to be patient.
Just FYI-I also bought the Fiberglass BYS wing from the guy. Not sure of the quality compared to the group buy on here, but the tips needed a little work. They were slightly beat-up.
