In #4 you mention that it rubs the hood slightly. It has been reported that the spoons do this as well on occasion.

 

I talked to a couple of others with the spoon model and there's also rubbed. The solution seems to be a piece of felt mounted to the hood. I have not tried that yet

 

+1 I have the ebay FG one installed..works grrreat, install took me rough 1 hour....slightly rubs just as explained above...the color came black and looks like factory....definately A+ for me...I got it for $95 hehehehehehehe...

 

The authentic spoon in fact DOES rub with the hood slightly.

Just adjust the hood latch accordingly, and instead of putting felt pieces all over your new shiney CF intake, put the felt on the underside of the hood

works great. I got one and havn't had any problems. i compared it to a real spoon one and it's basically the same. Great mod for the price
