Ebay Spoon style snorkel quality questions?
I'm looking at the yellow kevlar Spoon style snorkels on Ebay and was wondering if anyone has any experience. Some of the questions I have:
1) How is the quality?
2) How is the fitment?
3) Which ebay seller did you buy from, and would you recommend them again?
4) Please post pics of what you have.
I know that this is not a real piece and that some people will flame... so for the flamers... I ALREADY KNOW... save your time and not post.
Thanks!

Acutely there not all that bad I personally don't have one but I know others who have bought them from Ebay and they fit just as good as the others like mugen ect. Alot of the companys that make those make molds from Mugen ect and then make there own for alot cheaper with no name brand.

The whole "get what you pay for" idea has a lot of merit, but often times a substantial portion of "what you're paying for" is a name (ie. spoon). I'd buy one from the ebay guy if I were interested in this mod, but I wouldn't be angry if I got it and it had some flaws.

I just installed a "Ebay" spoon copy. The peice was good quality and arrived unharmed. The install took 4 hours and the fit was good. The down sides to consider are
1. It comes painted flat black. For me that was not a problem as that was the color I wanted.
2. The bumper cover and upper support brace had to be removed. It is not a big deal for a experienced person, but it took me over 2.5 hours for to remove it. I had to get over my fear of breaking something.
3. I had to notch out the front end to allow it to fit in the grill area
4. There is a slight rub betwwen the snorkel and the hood. I am going to adjust the hood latch this weekend and touch up the paint.
5. The cheaper model (38.99+60 shipping) is fiberglass and does not look like the pictures in the add. I am assuming the more expensive model($140) is truly as represented in the pictures.
I went out after I installed and the car ran great!! it was a incredible difference.
Overall for $110 dolars shipped to Iowa, I think it was worth it. If I like it during the summer I will probally go for the CF version next winter.
