showing your ride is different than someone using a picture of your ride to sell his.

I am sure the original post starter will have no problem if people post his picture to help him sell his stuff. But when a competitor uses his photos to sell their copied stuff, there will be an issue of copy right. That is why some ebay seller use watermake to protect their own photos.

Somebody on Ebay stole pictures of my car to sell a "knock off" Mugen Splitter. First of all....this pisses me off, because I don't care if you guys share pictures of my car for viewing pleasure to post on here or on other car forums, but not to be used to sell parts for your financial well being.....otherwise, I need a cut of the profits!!!

And second, as many of you know me.....I would NEVER buy a knock off part!!!!

I would surely hope that this Ebay seller is not a fellow member here on S2KI

Ebay, and my personal lawyer have both been contacted. They asked me to write the seller a letter to try and resolve it peacefully and quickly...otherwise if the pictures are not removed, I have a legal opportunity to press charges for stealing the pictures without consent OR I have the right to a percentage of every part they sell by using my pictures.
Should we contact The Salty Dog Cafe about your avatar? LOL

All kidding aside, I think someone should ask before posting a pic of a person's car. I think the root of the irritation in this instance is the fact of calling your spiltter imitation, right?

I'm not making money off of The Salty Dog Cafe logo.....if anything I'm helping to promote it....for FREE
Remember (as I've stated previously), I don't care that people share and post pictures of my car on here or other websites for that matter. And after honestly thinking about it, if the guy had been selling an authentic Mugen Splitter, I don't think I would have cared .... I think you are totally right....I think it's the fact that he used my car and the Mugen factory car (and I'm pretty sure that the red S2k in those pics is also using an authentic lip...saw in the mugenized thread) to promote his knock off piece instead of using cars with that actual lip

and I know you are just kidding
