You might also want to try heat-shrink tubing. It's thinner than most tubing, a little heat shrinks it to a tight fit.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, ask for it at any Radio Shack store. I think I used two layers on mine.

Just use a hair dryer up close and it will shrink!

thx dana-
sounds like the solution i am looking for-
the tubing that i am using is slightly too large (makes it harder to unlatch the top and it was hard to get on), so it sounds like red's idea would be just about right.
will try it this weekend...

wish i could get a pic for ya, but wont be able to before the weekend... maybe someone else here can?
we are talking about "coating" the little metal "finger" that pulls the top to the front windshield frame when you latch the top. this tightens the top and gets rid of the rattles that sometimes come from the latches.

im glad to hear that this simple little mod will cure my rattling i will try this in a week or so. The rattling is especially annoying when the radio is off or low, then the rattles drive me nuts! This is great, i cant wait to try it

I HATE THE RATTLING! So Good I'll try it out.

Does it do anything for the wind noise while driving on the highway?
