My engine is bone stock. No exhaust upgrade, no cold air intake upgrade no nothing except I installed my plug and play AEM EMS, tune the car and harnessed 16hp.
I bought the AEM EMS for my forced induction plan.

Just to let you know where to waste the money to gain power.

who cares what numbers it makes?

anyone who says x car should make y amount of power doesn't know what they're talking about. you want to see if you made or lost power by adding/changing mods? go to the drag strip. et and trap speed will tell you all you need to know. dyno's aren't the end all be all of how much power a car makes. sure it can be comparable if all the variables are the same(temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, same dyno), but the numbers really don't mean anything. I can go to a dyno and make it say i have 400whp on my stock s2000. does that make it right? of course not. a dyno is a tuning tool and should only be used as so. you're wasting your money if you think you can go to the dyno to make a few runs and not change any parts or do any tuning between runs. % increase is what you should be looking at. the numbers don't mean sh*t and they're not comparable to other dynos.

Damn dude is it not ok to go to the dyno anymore to see what gains or loss you made? And besides, I already knew what you were saying. My whole point is just to see if I gained anything or not. That is it lol. And that's what I care about, sorry if it makes you mad. Lol.

I've never trusted dynos anyhow. I just decided to do it again after 2 years out of nowhere. And mainly because I was b.o.r.e.d.

I have taken my car to the 1/8 mile track and don't remember exact numbers. But the highest I got was about 89mph trap and 9.5 or .6 seconds et? Fairly warm weather also. Is it true that you have to add 4 seconds in the 1/8th mile track to get a 1/4 time? So w/ my old setup 2 years ago I did 13.5 +/- .1 seconds? Not bad I guess.

To top it all, it only cost 50 bucks so why the heck not? The other guys charge almost 100 bucks for 3 pulls. I would never pay that much for a dyno unlesss I was sc/tc. But for n/a I'm fine w/ a butt dyno or the drag strip or street race w/ my friends.

I made 190hp on a mainline awd dyno. MY00 with testpipe, gutted box and snorkel only.

It is okay to go dyno your car. The problem is people are so obsessed with numbers and freak out of their numbers are not on par with someone else's numbers on a dyno half way across the country/world. There are so many variables involved that in reality, the numbers don't mean really mean much. Back to back dynos are the only real way to verify if your motor has made or lost power. Eliminate as many variables as possible so that you get real results. I'm not mad, just irritated by shops that are giving false information to their customers regarding what a dyno actually does. They're duping these kids into spending more money on senseless bullsh*t for no reason.

Awful lot of hand wringing for a what amounts to a sheet of paper with a couple lines on it.

Yeah. I wasn't trying to compare my dyno numbers with others. I'm not like how other people are just so they can brag about their 205 whp n/a. Lol. But in any case, it's going to be my new baseline that way I can see what my new mods will add or lose. 90 deg temp and same dyno. My next mod is Giles EMU and I should be getting that pretty darn soon.
