I'm embarrassed to admit this...but I still fumble around trying to find the dang thing. At night, it is very difficult to see...just like the (unlit) ignition key slot.

Totally understandable. I had to look it up in the manual when I bought my car.

Another vote for having to look it up. I looked in the console, glovebox, secret compartment, around the console, under the dash, at the edge of the seat... I must have spent 20 minutes searching before I broke down and opened the manual.

First S2000 I ever drove was my friend/neighbors. Im at the gas station with it and im there for about 15 minutes or so looking for it. I even looked all over the passenger side. I called quits and went to sit back inside the car. When I went to sit down inside I saw the stupid thing.

When I got the car (delivery), I opened the door and noticed right away there was an irregularity near the driver's side door catch. A closer look had it turn out to be the fuel-fill release knob. Beginner's luck I guess.

My funny story comes from a coworker. His friend came over after borrowing his brother's S2000. When it was time to leave, he realized he didn't have gas in the car and stopped at the station next door. He could not figure how to fill it up. He called his brother - not home, so after 30 minutes combing all over the car looking for the release, he gives up and goes back to my coworker's house - who tries to help find it, but cannot find it either.

My coworker knows that I have an S2000, but he didn't want to call me after 11PM to ask such a dumb question. The next morning the guy's brother calls him to find out where the hell he left the car - and was told that his brother is stuck across town crashing with a friend because they can't figure out how to put gas in the car.

Leave it to Honda that there's never a dull moment with this car.
