Dumbest dealer story yet
I'm leaving to ATTEMPT to take Charlotte home today, and yesterday, and remembering that the top was horrendously noisy before the deer hit it, I stopped by Carr's Honda here in Chicago to ask them if they could crank a bolt down or tighten something to make the top latch tighter. I had been warned that they weren't the greatest at S2000 service, but they were on my way back to Greg's house, so I decided to try it.
I pulled into their service department, and a service writer walks out, looks at the S2000, and says, "Cool car! What is it?"
!
I got out of there as fast as I could!

Yea, even though I bought both my S2000's there, their service department has always frightened me. I'm just adding this to the pile of reasons why I don't take my car anywhere near that service dept...
The sales folks were nice and fair with me. But man, I'm biting my tongue right now...

OMG, that's just unbelievable.
By the way Sondra, if you're latches are noisy, there is a TSB or something out that deals with it. They will replace your latches with some heavier duty ones. I think some people have ahd this doen before.

I've had the TSB for the latches done. They replace the striker plates with the same ones that come with the hardtop. I have no rattles now unless I go over a really bad bump.
