Default Dukes of Hazard

Just thought I'd share.

I bought my S back in September and by mid October I decide to give it a coat of wax. The following day I go out to Hermosa Beach for some drinks. I find an end spot in the center row of the parking structure, score!

The next morning I get out to the garage and I notice a dent the size of a basketball on the middle of my hood. WTF!!!!!! I could not believe it, the car had less than 1500 miles and I'd have to replace the hood. Needless to say I was pretty pissed.

After carefull examination I notice some scuff marks toward the top passenger side of the hood and a few other scuff marks toward the drives side of the hood closer to the headlights.

From what I could tell this is what I think happened:
Some Luke Duke wanabe and his friends walking through the parking lot sees a nice smooth hood and decides to slide across it.

I have since had the hood replaced and the front clip painted. I only paid $100 for the insurance deductable. I still love my car but it will never be the same.

Why are people so stupid?

Why can't people respect other peoples property?

I can only feel sorry for this guy for the consequences from Kharma.

Actually, all the main body parts are steel. The hood is aluminum and the bumpers plastic.

That really sucks, I feel your pain. I once had a kid with down's syndrome swing the door of his mother's station wagon wide open and smack my brand new car when I was walking out of the post office. Thank god nothing like this has happened to the S though (knocks on wood).
