hello. i've been looking for a new car and it came down to the S2000 and the new 350Z. I found a red 2000 model year with 8000 miles at carmax from $25,600 and I drove it. And it was love at first sight love at first drive. oh my gosh I love this car.. this car is the definition of super stiff chassis. and since it is going to be a 2nd car, I thought I'd get more utility out of a convertible. BUT, carmax stuck me with 18% APR... so I went to Nissan and got the 350Z.. when I was test driving the S2000, with the top down, i was shifting at 9000 each gear and there is no other feeling like it in the world. now I know what it means when they say this car is like an extension of your body.. a baseline Z and a used S2000 costs the same and thats why I chose to go with the S2000, since u get leather, HID, and LSD with it, where a base Z comes with nothing except the good looks and the awesome VQ35 engine. but I guess it wasn't meant to be.. but I became a fan of S2000 and I will be a regular member of this board now on. just letting you guys know and saying hi. Only if I could afford a new S2000.. oh man.. sorry for the ramblings but I just wanted to remind you guys what an awesome car you guys have ! haha

So.. you got a Z or a S?

 

I havent gotten either yet. As soon as the nissan dealer I'm working with locates a white or silver base Z, i'm picking it up. But as they haven't located any vehicles yet, I keep thinking more and more about getting the s2k. If a new s2k was only around 27-28k I'd get one right now! the biggest incentive to get the Z for me is the price.

update. if you haven't seen my other thread yet, i cancelled the Z and got the 2003 S2000. blue one.
