Drove my S to Ferrari of Atlanta today...

I figured it wouldn't get much notice but the service and parts managers liked it quite abit. I guess they were surprised that I had 13,000 miles, it still ran fine, and hadn't needed anything but 2 oil changes. Performance isn't always measured with a stop watch!

It's funny when two seater convertible haters and people that have already negatively made up thier mind about the S...actually see the car in person.
Some may convert (cross over to the dark side).
I for one, couldn't stand 2 seater convertables (Miatas), and was stuck on sedans. After I saw the S for the first time, it blew my mind...and when I read about the performance...I was hooked.
My friends still make fun of me..."I thought you said that you were not a rag-top type of man."

The location of Ferrari of Atlanta has always seemed odd to me. The first time I went there I couldn't believe that it was just an old warehouse next to the tracks. My father-in-law has a business on the highway across the tracks from them and it seems like there's always a Ferrari screaming past.

They are moving to a new location in Roswell this summer. Their current shop is at the end of a dead end road with a gravel factory in between them and the only exit. I knew those guys would be interested in what I'm selling. You should of seen the rock chips on ALL their cars, I was in heaven!

Gotta love old Ferrari Atlanta formerly FAF. A friend of mine bought a '95 355 from them recently for $115k. He owned it less than six months had enormous problems , new transmission, electrical problems, leaking doors, bad exhaust, engine problems, etc. Took it in many times for service at a huge expense, and nothing was ever fixed. When he complained about the problems and poor service their response to him was "that's part of the Ferrari experience." if you don't understand that, then " you must not be sophisticated enough for this car." He then contacted the owner of the dealership and told him he wanted to get rid of it. Guess what they offered him, after 115k purchase price and almost 20k in maintenance during his SIX MONTHS of ownership, they offered him $65k. He sold it on ebay and is now the proud owner of a Hennesy Venom 500 Viper. Bottom line, the only thing crappier than a Ferrari is Ferrari of Atlanta.

You gotta figure Ferrari doesn't much worry about keeping up with the Joneses. If you have the $$$ and want a Ferrari you will know where to get it. Why waste money on an extravagant showfloor you don't need to sell your cars? Even the Ferrari dealer in Beverly Hills on Wilshire is just in a little storefront shop. Big huge fancy BMW dealers and Lexus just down the block from them.
