I'd rather see a turbocharged F20C/F22C rather than any of the other choices. The 13B would be kinda cool though.

Been a whole lot of motors suggested. Do all of them even spin the right direction?

Of course, you could just put in a Chevy 350
I thought the same thing. I think a good quality alum. small block would offer plenty of power with tons of cheap options for even more hp later, and darn near the same weight as an f20c.
Would it be easier and cheaper to the the boosted f20c......you bet

I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

When I bought my car the only thing under the hood was 4 hamsters and a wheel.

I got hosed Tommy. I got hosed.

i'm not cool enough to throw out all the fancy engine codes and names BUT i do know that there are some miatas with corvette engines in it. I know they're rear end setup easily accepts the vet rear end. We share quite some parts with the miata.

if i had $10K laying around, i'd try it. i can see the headline on youtube already.

You're crazy if you think an F20C is going to out perform a 13b-rew, and there's no way it will out do the LS1. The F20 is an amazing motor, but not because it makes big power. You can get 400hp very easily out of a 13b with nothing more than a bigger turbo and fuel injectors and maybe some mild porting.

If he needs to replace the motor, I doubt a new F20C plus turbo kit will be cheaper than a reman'd turbo rotary plus fabrication to get it in there.
Your're crazy if you think a boosted rotary will be more reliable than a boosted F motor.

And as far as SR20 reliability under boost don't listen these guys!

Go to Nissan Performance Mag .com or Ser.net.

The SR20 was made for boost and can easily handle up 21psi on stock internals
