In Arizona its atleast 100 everyday right now, I highly doubt it has any effect on the motor under normal driving conditions. If anything, you don't have as much horsepower because the intake air is so warm.

I've always wondered if a CAI made a major difference in arizona even though they are known to show very small gains.

I few weeks ago we had a record high-low, meaning that the coldest it got all day was I think 98 degrees

On Saturday, we had an autocross in 100+ weather. No shade. Not a single S2000 had any issues at all. You'll be fine.

I spent last Saturday putting 100 miles on my car racing around a track in 100+ degree weather without any heat related problems. I did have one problem which turned out to be a loose connection with the #1 cyclinder spark plug. There was a Boxer there that was having problems with the heat.

I had to make a 3 hour drive in 95+ degree heat last week and my temp gauge didn't go above three bars.

Like others have said, I think heat affects the engine, but I don't think it should be a concern as long as you properly maintain your car.

But I still feel bad taking my S out in the heat....

Here in South Florida in the summer temps can reach up over 111 with high humity in the afternoon. The roads really radiate heat from the sun. I've used my S as a daily driver with no problems. You couldn't put the top down here during the day or you'd cook.

As long as its not raining or snowing take the top down, drive it and enjoy it. That's what you bought it for. You won't hurt it.

when it's extremely hot out...I try to choose a route that allows me to keep the speed up. I also take breaks....like pulling into a gas station or automotive store to cool off and/or buy a drink.

The driving thing is personal comfort. No issue for the car. Some of the aftermarket grille covers originally caused some temperature issues, but I think those've all been worked out. I wouldn't use one in hot climes.

I guess I'd recommend putting the top up when parked in this kind of heat. And I'd leave the windows cracked a little, if you can. Direct sun will take it's toll on your interior over time. The top will ultimately wear out, but better that than resurfacing those EXPENSIVE seats.

drove my 03 in 116 degree weather with full a/c in vegas a couple weekends back ... felt sluggish (a/c), but no problems whatsoever!
