Dripping water from airconditioner condensation
#1
Anyone know why I would be getting TONS of water dripping into the foot wells when I run the airconditioner. I'm sure it's condensation, but don't know why it's coming inside. Just started this spring.

This is funny. My wife just noticed the same thing just an hour ago during our lunch outing. She even showed me a drop of water on her foot.
I'm not getting the 'tons of water' that you describe, but my condensor does experience the occasional drip as CDELENA mentioned.
You might want to check the condenser drain hose that runs out throught the firewall. Last year, people posted the same problem and it turned out that the drain hose was kinked. Apparently, the hose can be accidentally kinked by the passengers feet. This will block the draining process which may cause the accumulation of water until it just pours out.

There was actually an issue with this when the first batch of cars came out. There was a clamp missing on one side of the hose that allowed it to drip. Most of them were fixed on the shipyard before being delivered, but some may have not, or the problem is back. I would advise your Dealer

Yeah this came up many moons ago but not since. the drain hose can become kinked or kicked out by the passenger's feet. If you are getting water in the passenger foot well that is the problem. It's a quick fix and no need for special tools
