Wait why double clutch going up a gear? I thought the whole point of double clutching was to get the engine and transmission all moving at the same speed? Don't get why you would do it on an up shift??

...Granny-shifting, not double clutching like you should be!
2nd gear, at least in AP2's, is relatively short, hence having to bring RPM's a little higher to engage it smoothly on downshifts.

On upshifts everything meshes because the input shaft is slowing down on it's own, matching the lower speed required for the higher gear you are going in to.

put it in neutral, rev it up to 2-3k, then shift it in. it goes in so much smoother. i tried just blipping the throttle, but it doesnt work as good.
then again, if i rip it into gear, it'll go in smooth..i think the input shaft speed drops too much cuz i granny it.

It gives me wayyyy better shifts.
btw, this is the only car i actually ever had to dc for. i do double clutch downs too if im driving slow..if im having fun, i fkkin rip it.
