no you don't know how the stock intake works

BTW how much did that bride seat cost? no wonder you don't have $ for an intake.

the seat was necessary for track sessions.

Well some of us like DIY! I've done some of the same things, plus some others. No dyno test, but my gas mileage has increased by 2 mpg both city and highway. Good enough for me with $3 gas!

If you choose to knock out the divider in the air box (as you have said you do), the easiest way to do this is to score the divider around where it is attached to the bottom of the air box with a box blade or similar -- then knock out the divider with a hammer. Should you choose to block off the airbox from the resonance chamber (entrance is at the right rear of the qir box), you can use some of the divider material to cut out a plate to glue over this opening.

Thanks,
Richard

Nice try! I know u are making a duct only, but u might want to do some reseach on why does the mugen intake cost ALOT. Mugen's airbox got alot of R&D in it. First is it made form carbon fiber, which prevent heat soak. Second, it is drawing cold air. and third there is a special design to the intake, which allow u to free up more hp then other intake.
