Default does yellow fade quicker than other color?

Just curious cause I see a lot of yellow that kinda fade over time, for example E36 M3, the previous gen of current M3.

Is it because of the pearl accent on the color?

I don't have yellow but I haven't heard of any S2000 colors fading. I'm curious too.

well, this is sort of general question, instead of specific to S2000 color only. I think that yellow tends to fade faster than other solid (i.e red, white), maybe just my eyes need to be checked, lol.... but I m curious to know the expert opinion

o, btw, my company parking lot has a white S2k and I can tell you that the white is fading... the owner doesnt take a good care of the car

I think this doesn't imply to metallic, probably due to its nature of reflecting light instead of absorbing, u know what i mean?

I would imagine that technically all colors would fade the same, all other things being equal, because they are applied the same way and clearcoated the same way. I think all colors would fade the at the same rate, all things being the same, but you would NOTICE the yellow or a vibrant color more quickly, as the fading would be more apparent (as opposed to silver).

I really dont know....but it makes sense.

I'm picking up a 2005 NFR soon and the sales guy said that red fades pretty quick if left in the sun.

Yes, it will turn orange. S2000s are very weak in that department (reds) (I have an NFR)

Just use a car cover if it sits outside, and keep a good coat of wax on it, and youll be fine.

And to answer your question.....RED is the fastest fading color. I will dig up the reasoning for it...(something about a weak pigment)

After hearing about how quick it fades, i'm really questioning getting red...what do you think.
