Default Does the s2k have a rev limiter for cold starts?

I gunned it out of the driveway today with out thinking to warm up the car first, and it felt like I hit a rev limiter at around 7k. Like the engine hesitated big time, and I thought "oh shit, should have warmed her up". I know the rx8 has a feature like this, didn't know if the s2k was the same or if I just did something bad to my engine.....

Wait for 3 bars on the temp gauge before VTEC.

When the car is cold the v-tec won't engage as you will not have sufficient oil pressure to put the car on the v-tec cam. Happened to me like everyone else a couple of times.
