Does loving the S2000 make me hate the 350 Z?
I have noticed that I hate the 350 Z. I have tried to like the car. And even though Nissan has improved the 350 to the point to where it doesn't even compete with the S2000 any longer, I still hate the car.
So why do I hate this car so much. I hate the body. I hate the interior, I hate the image. I hate it I hate it I hate it. I even hate Nissan. And I don't even know why. Am I sick?

no...the 350Z looks like an ugly appliance on wheels...the G35 is nice, but they're ubiquitous and it's simply a rebadged Z with a few creature comforts and 20 extra hp (claimed) for an extra $10k...the new G37 is a big car, I was surprised at how long it is
I love smoking them all in the FD

haha yeah, most 350Z drivers up here are the biggest posers you will find, next to porsche owners. the car is a fat pig stock (sure it can be done up to improve on its handling/looks), but otherwise...meh to it. i love having an s2k that just seems like it can carve it up.

I wanted to like the Z so bad. My first car was a 78 280Z so when they announced that they were coming out, I was all over it until I drove one a couple of years ago. The car is so heavy and it is hard to see out of. I did not like the way it drove at all. I still think thay look good, but I love my S2000.

i was actually thinking when i bought my s2k it was gunna be a choice between the 350z and the s2k.
never ended up even test driving the 350....i wanted a convertible and the 350 roadster is butt ugly. couldn't be happier with my decision just to go straight to the s2k

Although the Z is a great car, there are a number of things that might cause an antipathy between Z and S owners. First of all, I believe the Z shares a platform with other Nissans. Also, the Z is rotund and squat looking, while the S is sleek, with classic lines, with a long hood. The S seems like a timeless sports car from the 60's, the Z seems like a modern fad.

Yes you are. Hate is a sickness and it will rot your soul Instead of hating the Z, Love the S. The hapiness you experience while driving will radiate toward others And who knows, it may even soften the hearts of those arrogant Z bast***ds
Then you have the people that you pass and then they try to purposely blind you with their lights and keep right up on your tail.

Nothing about the Z appeals to me. I don't know about hate. The S2000 and Z are so different that once you choose one of them and start to really get into it....the other one just won't cut it.
Although, in my experience, there are more people defecting from the Z to the S2000 than vice versa. I think the S2000 has more appeal. People are put off at first by the 4cyl. engine, but I think that driving is believing.
I used to be a huge Nissan geek. I had a 240sx with an SR20 before those cars were cool. I used to think that the Z would crush an S2000 in any contest of speed.
I bought the S2000 and now I'm happily crushing Zs in any contest of speed.
