Does the f22 just simply put out more power?
Ive searched and read various posts. What is the general opinion here? I hear and read the 06 and 07s dyno higher at stock than the 04 and 05s. The 04 and 05s dyno higher than the 03 and 02 and the 03 and 02 dyno higher than the 00 and 01.
I myself just got a new 07, traded in my 03. I definitly feel the added torgue. But is the earlier power delivery just a butt dyno trick?

Its a very different engine - Honda moved the whole power band down in the AP2s and opened increased sub-VTEC power so the power is more evenly distributed throughout the rpm range. There's a FAQ in introductions with a thread on the changes between 03 and 04 (AP1 and AP2) and links to Honda technical releases if you want all the nitty gritty.
More than the added torque (4%-10%), you're probably feeling the shorter gearing.

yea i think that the f22 puts out more, but to me it's no big wooop because they increased it by .2 liters. So you would think that there would have to be some gains compared to the ap1. the f20 is still a crazy amazing engine though with 120hp/liter.

so then that means my MY00 is the slowest of them all? damn
I still wouldn't say your "slower" just make a little less power. Due to gearing, heavier flywheels in AP2, etc . . . all s2000's MY2000 - My2007 still run very similiar 0-60 and 1/4 times.
