Major problems here! When behind the wheel I have severe repetitive leg spasms along with a twitch in my right wrist. I've learned to live with it.

I owned a series of Corvettes through the seventys and early '80s and it is appearent to me that my Honda is a much better engineered car. Structurely, the car is tighter and the S2000's interior fit/finish is vastly superior. The car seems much more a serious sports car than the Vetts. Please understand, I liked my Vetts but I truely love my S.

'06 56k Had to replace the battery, front brake pads. Soft top, 02 sensor (twice) covered by warranty, & on my forth set of rear tires. Can't resist the powerslides. I recommend the sun sheild definitely saves the dash!

Well, I certainly don't want to be laughed at, so please accept my apology and I will restate my above response to: The only problem I've had was the elasticity wearing out of the top straps which were replaced under warranty.

How's that?

I guess it depends on expectations. For me, I bought the S2K as a DD, and particularly to buy into the "Honda drive it and forget it" reputation of trouble-free driving. I already had a "fun car" to tinker with and keep in the garage for the weekends. OK, for me, the car has been a let-down in that regard. If the OP's expectations are different, does not mind the "imperfections" and is willing to spend time and $$$ to deal with whatever they may be, his S2K experience could be a lot more positive. The topic is about him, after all, and I only posted so that he hears something other than fanboi praise.

Read between the lines. It means "No major problems, just these minor ones" -- at least in my case. An issue like the spring popping loose on the sliding console door is entirely different from something like the engine blowing out or the tranny completely bombing due to design/manufacture issues. Well, in my opinion anyway.

It's certainly subjective. My S has its squeaks and rattles as well. Someone expecting a GT with a La-Z-boy recliner seat and perfect insulation from the driving experience and outside world might have an entirely different take on matters.
I play, I play . As one of you said though takeshi, no car is perfect, ever. But the s2000 is definitely close in my eyes . I have a sarcastic sense of humour, slightly...

I have a 2007 with 46k and the softtop rattles and creaks like crazy! It drove me nuts when I took it on a 6 hour road trip from norcal to socal and back. The audio control volume control on the left doesn't work anymore, the radio cover doesn't click close anymore. The bazel around the controls are fading and peeling off.
