© Top problem, had tensioners replaced @ 2 years, it's doing it again, 2 tears repaired and now have two more, different ones
(D) Need alignments fortnightly but that could be local roads although I've lived here 55 years, never had this prob w/other vehicles.

Wow! That's a lot of problems. I think I'd escalate above my local dealer if I got this level of (not)service.
S2K shifts poorly????? It's one of the widely acknowledged strengths of the S2K.

There's a problem here somewhere and if the dealer can't find it you need to find another dealer.

I'm really sorry to hear abour your difficulties, but these seem out of the ordinary and you need to escalate.

if you replaced the straps with oem, try using modifry straps for the soft top instead

I did to the regional guy, who supported the dealer. I did get compensation for my out-of-pocket from Honda USA, much later, on the top straps. As you might expect, not a big fan of "Honda quality" these days, short of suing Honda nothing will happen now post-warranty... which was probably their idea in the first place.

Dealer sent a buy-back offer (generic, not like it was a personal letter) for $21K for the car yesterday and I'm tempted.

Actually I had an automotive uphostery shop do it; next time, if I do it myself, I'll of course use Modify's product.

2006 w/25K mi. Replaced the soft top straps with Modifry, which is just wear-and tear. Elastic has a limited life span, like the waistband in your Fruit-of-the-Looms. Also smoothed out the bar ends to keep the dreaded soft top tears from appearing, according to TSB 09-033.

Otherwise not a single issue. Nothing! Runs smooth as silk.

I was actually able to get the dealership to replace my soft top straps under warranty.

I've had my 08 since new in 08 got it with 4 miles 7 after test drive.I just rolled 76k not to long ago.
1) my cat ate my o2 sensor at about 20k and I got a cel from it.
2) had to retorque my axel nuts
3) since buying the car I've gone through maybe 6 sets of tires. Rears don't last for shit atleast for me.
4) no bubbles in dash through
5) no real issues honestly.
6) TCT went bad at 35-40k can't remember it was so long ago
Yes its a Honda but at the same time its a sports/roadster car so you've got to expect to have to do a little more maintenance than your average grocery getter. I love the car, none of the headaches I've gotten from ownership have had me tempted to get rid of it.

Got mine in 07 with 5k miles. It currently has around 45k and it's my dd. The lights on my dash flicker. Apparently it's a problem with a part on the alternator. My steering wheel also needs to be re-wrapped. The last problem I've had is with the top (ripped) but, that's a problem you'll encounter with any s2k. The 06's are definitely solid though.

No problems with my 08 except for the top straps replaced under warranty. Fantastic car!
