It says you need an ADP-106 adapter. Is this necessary?

Would they lie about it?

Many of us use it, and yes you need the adaptor. Do a search for tips on installation, as a bonehead install will destroy the thing. (Overtightening)

Yes, it's necessary (contrary to what they were originally telling us S owners...guess we fixed that problem). The nipple is not necessay, but I recommend it...tends to keep the valve a bit cleaner and allows you to hook a plastic tube to the end, if necessary.

Just installed it. No more jacking up the car for oil changes.

I also have the Fumoto valve. Funny thing is....the Honda dealer made a note of this valve on my maintenance report as an "aftermarket kit". Looks like they are setting me up for blame. At least they could have spelled it correctly....they spelled it "ket". This was on the same visit that they scratched the dickens out of the top of my trunk lid. Looks like they put a card board box of parts on the lid and then slid the box towards the rear of the car. Totally unacceptable!!!

This is why I do all of the maintenance myself. That would piss me off
