Wirejock,

Can you post a picture of your modification. I think I get what you are saying, but I would like to see it. I thought about putting a grommet in the mat but I already removed the post and don't want to go to the trouble of putting it back in.

Has anyone taken the carpeting off of the floor on the drivers side??? I would prefer to keep the stock mats for now and I want to install a hook on the opposite side and just pop a rivet through that side of the mat as well. Anyone know if there is a bolt hole anywhere else on that brace??????

There is an old post about putting a matching post on the right side of the mat. Trevor at www.handaaccessories.com can get you the parts. They were from a civic if I remember correctly. To answer your question, there ins't a hole, you just have to use a self-tapping screw.

All the mats I've had (stock, MG, and Muz) move. I never had the post put in. I was thinking that I might cut some of that plastic material that other floormats use that has the little plastic spikes that dig into the carpeting.

No problem. The thread that talked about all the different methods is...

Floor Mat Moving Around Post

the main part is $2.03 (Honda part # 620550 08P15-S01-100W)
the grommet is $0.20 (# 620549 08P15-S01-100G)

Not trying to be rude but I would actually prefer that you sell the car.
