start her up, drive off. just don't bounce off the rev-limiter as you're driving off

I typically let it idle for about 30 seconds before I drive off. I know you don't have to and I try not to, but I also own an is300 with built/forged internals which typically need some sort of warming up to let the pistons seal up...so its kind of 2nd nature

I don't go past 5k before 3 bars. But I don't let the car idle till it warm though.

I just let it sit for 30 to 40 seconds (while putting seat belt on, locking the doors, turning on radio/lights, put my jacket/bag away) ... then slooooooowwly drive away

Don't feel it's necessary to let the car sit there for 5 mins doing nothing -- not to mention you might be breathing in too much carbon dioxide or something ...

Or maybe something harmful, like carbon MONoxide.
