I have three sets of OEM wheels. The ones that I got from other racers were in better shape than the ones that came on my car so I mounted my sticky tires on the good ones and use the ratty ones for street. Cone marks and brake dust are easier to polish out than curb rash.

It depends on the track in some cases, Last time I was on the track I had my Prodrives and was not really worried about them. I have MF10's on the car now and if I were to go to the track I would pick up something else to use (since they are hard to replace).

This is also do to the track I go to has a very harsh transition from the track into the dirt its almost like going over a curb and I have seen many people bend wheels there during off track excursions, If the track you are going to has a smooth run off than it should not be as much of an issue.

If you are that worried about it pick up a set of stockies

i got a set of stock wheels, its just the tires on them are almost dead and i prefer not to purchase new tires for my stock wheels.

I only use the OEM 16" wheels for track work, as long as you don't fly off the track the wear and tear is no different that street use, but they do get dirtier because oif rubber and brake dust, but that can be washed off.

I love people who have the same problems as I do.
I'm now up to 4-sets...
