Do you think Honda reads this site?
We have a pretty good handle on the S2k on this site. If I worked for Honda, I might consider looking at this site seriously for information regarding the car. They might do wise to give us a little attention. After all, we are a pretty large, diverse group of owners. Does anyone else think Honda does/should look at S2ki for information pertaining to the S2000?

I think we'd all agree that the auto manufacturers, and especially the Japanese auto makers, look for feedback from their customers. That they don't admit or acknowledge it is another issue. You can be sure that there are people from Honda reading these forums and considering some of what is said.

All manufacturers monitor the princiipal enthusiast sites. They do pick up valuable and uncensored opinions and responses. The real question is whether the Honda monitors have the internal juice to get improvements, adjustments sold to the higher ups. Remember, Honda, like all Japanese manufacturers puts great value in consensus making it much harder to get an individual voice heard.
I used to participate in a C5 Corvette forum and one day the car's chief engineer and one of his top guys posted some replies on the site. I think most forum members were flabergasted that the creator of their favorite car not only monitored the site, but actually replied. As I recollect he did in fact say that some of the issues raised were being considered by the engineers and designers and would be expanded into the next (C6) Corvette. Seeing some of the changes and improvements in the newest 'Vette suggests that somebody was most definitely paying attention. I was fairly impressed that a huge (if struggling) corporation would actually pay attention to the folks who line up to buy their product. I can't imagine that Honda doesn't do the same. Why they won't or don't acknowledge this of course remains a mystery right up there with socks that go into the drier and never return.
