Do you park in the garage with the top down or up.

Good advice about the temperature change affecting stretch and strain. I'm top up, the wrinkles take a while to flatten out on my GAHH replacement top, it's a heavier gauge material. Also, damn geckos crawling around the ceiling (very common in Hawaii) shit on everything.

I usually leave the top in whatever position it was in when I pulled into the garage. I want to try to minimize the number of times the top is put up/put down. I am trying to minimize wear and tear on the fabric. On a week when the weather is nice, and I am mostly using the car for brief trips, the top may stay down all week. After nearly 10 years, the combination of protection from the sun and rain, and the reduced raisings and lowerings, has resulted in a top that looks nearly as good as new.

During most of the summer, the top is just down. In the winter, the opposite.
I do put it up when I go park it in a lot.
I am willing to put it up at night in the garage if I think it will help the longevity.
