To get hard or not to get hard.

Can not substantiate the cost; $3,100.00. When you can get a motorcycle/vespa for less brand new. I live in sunny Southern California anyway.

I'm thinking of getting the hardtop, especially for when winter hits, since it's my daily driver. My main reason, improve the visibility on the sides, I hate those 2 blind spots. (I'll get the Honda OEM top probably from H and A).

MY 2001 Spa Yellow in Canada was a "Special Edition" and came from the factory with the hardtop...and its really cool.

This is what I call an essential item of the car rather than an option. The overall appearance of the car is somewhat much more unique with the hardtop in place. I'm afraid the softtop isn't quite special. Either have the hardtop on or have no top at all, that's how it should be.

Dogman,
remind me never to enter a forum that you've posted in. Gawd that avatar is hideous. Couldn't you find something better?

I am planning on getting one when the prices fall a bit, and they are bound to fall.. just a matter of time.

Unless you live in Florida or Texas where the weather is a bit unpredictable.

I agree. I am about 80% for the hardtop right now. I do live in So Cal and the only consideration is how often I will not go with the top down because of the unconvinced of removing the HT. I like the looks of it and it makes the S more of a unique car.
