I was just wondering if the members here try to consistantly use the same brand of gasoline.

For example...I try to use Shell gas all the time.

If that's the case, stay away from the SHELL station at Chimney Rock/59. Very bad gas! I had to fillup after 1/2 a tank to dilute that bad mixture!!

I only use Shell gas too! With the gas prices so high, the 5% I get off with my Shell Mastercard helps.

I always use Amoco gold ultimate! Never noticed any kind of problems.

I too always use Shell 93 Octane. And yes, stay away from Chimney Rock/59 Shell station.

If any of you use Chevron 93 Octane, stay away from the Beltway 8/Beechnut Chevron station. My brother used to always fill up his '95 Talon Tsi at Chevron. He went to this particular station before this last fill up and his car began to hesitate while on full throttle in the lower and higher RPMs. He used up that tank and put in Shell 93 Octane and everything went back to normal. I think I've converted him to Shell, hehe.
