Do you get "flashed" while driving your S?
Just curious...
I have noticed a lot lately while driving at night with my headlights on low, I am high beamed or flashed by oncoming vehicles...
I have passed other cars with HIDS and they do not seem to bother me any more than regular lights...
Just can't seem to figure out why people think I have my lights on bright...And to make it even more annoying, people seem to get pissed off when I flash them back, letting them know that I am not high beaming them...
Oh well!
Anyone else have this happen to them?

I must be watching too much "Girls Gone Wild" because I completely misunderstood this post.
*cough* anyway....
Yes its a common occurance because the S2000 HID's lack the self leveling feature found in other cars. Add to the fact the car has a firm suspension, and you have a recipe for pissed off motorists.

Purge, just be glad you don't have JDM headlights, they're leveled the opposite way (the stepping goes from high to low, from left to right, instead of right to left.) I imagine it must get in a lot of people's faces w/ JDM. BUT, I have only been high-beamed twice (and it was 2 cars in a row).

I was out the other night and switched lanes into the right lane to catch an upcoming turn. Well, right after I switched lanes, I went over some railroad tracks, approached the corner and turned behind the man in front of me. He had been driving normally, but proceeded to not exceed 15 MPH in the 35 MPH zone. He slowly crept up to 25 MPH as the speed limit on this road then increased to 55 MPH. Naturally, I passed him at this point when he made it clear he wasn't going any faster than that.
As soon as I pass him, he begins frantically flashing his brights. After a dozen or so flashes, he keeps them on and I notice he seems to have increased to the speed limit as well.
This kind of thing sucks, because I'm sure he was sitting there thinking about "that asshole in the sports car". And I didn't do anything wrong!!!
One of these days I am going to install a loudspeaker in my S so I can make an announcement to these people. "Attention, sir, I am not using my high beams. I repeat, I am not using my high beams."

I think I heard somewhere that Honda was going to offer one of those as an option for the S2000 in the 2004 production year...Can anyone with ties to Honda confirm this as being correct?
