Rain is typically no big deal for water spots, but if I get hit by an errant sprinkler or some other source of water from the municipal supply, I make sure to get it off quickly. Hard water FTL.

I dry it all the time, not in rain though but after I wash it, it always sees a squeegee for the windows and a chammy for the body.

Hose the car off frequently between washes. I don't think drying it after it has been hosed is a good idea. Reserve drying after washing only.

In my area you have to dry it off after hosing it down or you get terrible hard water spots that will not come off with normal cleaners. Our water sucks. I learned the hard way when I moved down here recently and spent some serious time with a clay bar and vinegar trying to remove all the spots after I made the mistake of rinsing off some pollen/dust.

I just don't hose it off anymore unless I'm doing the full wash and dry.

better to have water marks than a crapload of swirl marks.

considering how soft honda paint is, simply wiping off the rain water can be a bad idea.

If you love your S enough it is your "Ferrari" . Anywho I always wash and dry, never just dry off. If it's really dirty rain I'll rinse her off after, but won't dry. No pt in scratching the paint as others have mentioned.
