Do you contact the previous owner of your car?

I tried to contact the prev owner after finding some wrong shit with it. no reply. Figures, as he did a f@#king bad job of maintaining it.
I wouldn't want to answer either.
I've been spending a quality amount of time and money getting every small detail down so that the long term reliability and the overall car condition is returned to how it should be. It's not running like a champ!
Sometimes, I dream about just spending a few more grand to get a pristine condition S. Not modified ever, not tracked ever, just pure stock from factory.. A blank canvas. I'd properly molest it and know it's good to go!
If I could go back, I'd either buy a baby s with extremely low mileage (less than 40k) and keep it as a princess.
Or, I'd buy an old, high mileage one in decent condition and make it a track toy!

Normally no but I did contact the previous owner of an old S10 pickup I bought recently. "She" has me doing renovations all the time which is why I bought the truck, basically to run from home to store, home to dump etc all short trips.
Bought the truck, brought it home, (a little bouncy and noisy but it does have just under 500,000kms,) a trip of about 30kms. Threw some crap in the back and headed off to the dump and 10kms into drive, the driver side front wheel went sailing away. I was doing about 85-90kms at the time on a right hand bend when the wheel went bye bye so it was interesting getting the truck to a halt.
Whacked the spare into place and continued on my journey and then phoned the previous owner to let him know that I was a little miffed that he had only - by the looks of things - only put 2 wheel nuts on this wheel and left them a little loose. Funnily enough I have driven cars with loose wheels and noticed it right away but this one gave me next to no warning.

#2 Bought one for my son when he returned from Afghanistan. Took the seat out to install a bys low rail for him, and there was a drivers license from the previous owner. I sent a FB message, and a letter. No response...
You can drop the license in any mailbox, and the post office will deliver it for free.
