As we all know, 3,000 S2000,s are made each year. That would mean there about 12,000 S2000,s minus the one's that have been wrecked already. Consider the Camaro, Mustang, Porsche 911, all very successfull indeed. If you consider that the Camaro and the 911 retained their body styles for so long, that shows just how successfull they really were. The 911 was such a good car on and off the track(known for success at the 24 hours of Daytona) that there was just no need for change.
Anyhow, there is like a trillion of these cars. Ourselves and are parents grew up with these cars. I mean, everyone has seen a porsche, everyone has seen a bitchen 67 Camaro or a 66 Stang. There is ONLY 12,000 Honda S2000,s. Not everybody has seen or heard of one.
It's kinda funny, I don't know how to explain it, but I get respect from people who see me drive this car. I am not any better than anybody. About a week ago, I was cruisin down one of the local residential streets in Sonoma. There were three boys about 13 years old at a stop sign. As I drove by, they all gave me the thumbs up. Woooo!!! they all said. I thought that was to cool. I get respect from all the sport compact people.
Lookout Chevy, Porsche and Ford, Honda's coming home and taking over. Honda has started a new era.

I really dont pay attention to people who are looking at my car. But the passengers say that a lot of people look at our cars. It like that when I drive my M3 around but there limo tent and I can look around without people thinking that I want to race them.

In my opinion the S is a sexy car bone stock, but in this area if you arent modified you rarely turn heads & have people stare. but every now and again i still catch a few people looking

They all stare ... .. and of course with the top down, one can hear in the distance how glowingly they talk about your S. Even at a restaurant...I parked mine by the front door to keep an eye on it ... I would say nine out of ten people stopped as if to pick up a glued quarter on the ground, staring at the beauty.

a lot of attention here at jersey... little kids also scream "niiiiiiiiiiiice"while the tops down, as well as kids my age (18)... some honk, some donk, some give the finger, some give me the look like im the biggest piece of crap that ever stepped on earth........ some people are cool, some are jerks =P but anyway, yep it does cause attention... a lot of kids in school wait outside of my car while im parking to tell me its hot... man i love the S =)
