Damn, I can only imagine how bad the hood looks like now. I have to agree, it's more worthy to get a CF hood since it's much able to withstand to any kinda normal accidents unlike aluminium. I think your insurance will cover such accidents to help you get a replacement fairly quickly.

We are in close contact with a national paintless dent repair company about sponsorship for the S2KCA...that will be announced soon. But one thing I said when I was over there one time was that the S2000 hood was aluminum and he said that aluminum is particularly BAD for getting dents out PDR-style. Not to add more pain to the situation here, but he told me that aluminum doesn't have "memory" so it doesn't lend itself to PDR.

I was a little surprised by that. Steel is a FAR better candidate for PDR. Not to mention that if the dent is on the other side of a support under the hood, no tools can get to it...you wouldn't want to drill into it to get at it, especially given the unlikeliness of a satisfactory repair.

And, what a bummer, I did the same thing once with the master cylinder cover once...luckily now damage resulted...

Get a CF hood!

Thanks for your support !
Now that i have calmed myself down im starting to think maybe something good can come out of this stupid incident.
After GaryJs suggestion to get an air intake i looked around for cars with airintakes and found the Ferrari 550 Maranello.
Wow,that is one cool airintake on that car,i want it!
So now all i have to do is find someone to do it.
And if it is not possible to do the cf hood is the #2 choice.
The insurance company WILL pay the damage, and i am happy again

Check out that cool airintake here
