Default Do I trade in my AP1 for an AP2?

Hey guys.
Ill make this quick. I bought my 2000 S2K last July from this old guy who bought a Mercades. The S is MIIIIIIIINT! It only had 15,000 miles on it. I drove it from July-Oct. and stored it for the winter (NY snow). It now has 17,000 miles and still mint. Well, I was reading somewhere that since 07 "is the last yr" dealers are trying to push them out the door and are for 29k. So i called my local HONDA and said this to him...he paused and said...yea we can do that. I then drove to my OTHER local Honda dealership and they said the same...Both are about 5miles from me and both have a Berlina AP2...which is weird cuz last time they had a S in there was about 2-3yrs ago.
So I owe 17,800ish on the one I have now...bone stock but my ITG mirrors and clean as a wistle. Do I trade/sell my AP1 with 17k on it for a new one?
I like the AP2 cuz of the glass rear window, the more speakers, i think the traction control, the interior, the 10+TQ, the front bumper and headlights and that its an 07...but what I dont like is the taillights and the seats w/o the headrest holes.

Another thing is will the 2000 S be worth more $$$$$$ since it was the 1st...or would the 07 be worth more someday since its the last?
What if 07 isnt the last and they come out with another one?

ADVICE IS WELCOMED AND NEEDED!

thanks

AP2 seems to be better for daily driving. If that's what you're mainly using it for and it's within your budget, then go for it.

Seems like you don't drive it much though so I don't see the point of forking over more money.

Keep your car man. Why roll up more debt for so little difference. You'll be totally upsidedown while owing 18k and then borrorowing another 30k. There's no way they'll give you 17.8k trade in value. If they are saying they will, they are taking money somewhere else in the deal. With so little miles, it's like you already have a new car.

Why you owe 18k on a my2000 is beyond me anyway.

i cannot think of a better car to trade my honda in on than another honda, that being said....no dealer knows which is the last year of the car now, maybe someday they will know and then we all will know. perhaps in 20 years the 2000 model maybe worth something more than now? what do you want? i would do it, as the 2007 maybe a better daily driver if that is what you want.

Considering the S2000 CR is scheduled to be released this fall, I highly doubt the 07's are the last model year of the S2000. . .

Considering Honda said it would replace the S2000 in 2009 with a new model, I'd doubt that too...

Your paying almost twice as much for a car that is 99.9% the same.

Hmmmm.

The real question that you didnt even answer is what can you get rid of your car for? When you find out the dealer offers you $14k trade in and you cant sale it privately for more then $16 then you will answer your own question.
