Default DIY VAFC mounting bracket?

I've searched, but came up with nothing on doing a DIY mounting bracket for the VAFC. Suggestions? I'm thinking I'd like to mount it with some kind of metal plate from home depot or something that I can use to stick to the windshield and put it next to the rear view mirror. It would obviously have to be an angled metal piece, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Also, what should I use for adhesive to put the metal on the glass as well as the VAFC?

Do you not have the mounting bracket that comes w/ the v-afc? From your description of what you are trying to do, the org. bracket would do the job.

or you could mount it in the visor...that way it's out of the way when you don't need it and all you have to do is flip it down when you do need it. Also keeps it out of site from would be thieves, unless you park with your top down
