Dif oil/Trans Oil

This is not correct.
For the rear diff fluid, I would suggest you do the first change before 5000 miles to get the initial shavings and crud out. Then you can change it annually or 10K to 15K miles after that.
The tranny fluid has a fairly long change interval. That fluid doesn't take quite the beating as the other fluids since there is a small pump inside the tranny. My manual says to do it every 4 years or 60K miles. However, many owners have noticed that changing it every year or two keeps it working well. Unless you are seeing odd behavior, there is no need to change it too often.
Having said this, you should check to see if your 2006 has different information on these fluids.

I just got my oil changed at 7000 miles, however the diff was swapped out at 2000 so technically its got 5000 miles on it.
Is it a complicated process to change the diff oil myself? Or should I take it in?

Not to hijack the thread but my OIL wrench thing came on today with 15% and it comes on every time I start the car now. I have just about 5k miles on it and some quite spirited driving.
Change now with dino oil (honda oem) or do 7k?
Guess I'll order some LE607 from Rick's also.

Check out the FAQ in the Under the Hood section. There are plenty of write-ups (many by Xviper) on how to do the maintenance services on your car yourself.

I change my tranny and diff fluid annually, which comes out to be about 15k on average. The LE-607 comes out looking just as it did going in which is great, same with the tranny fluid (I switched to Redline MTL this spring and loved the improvement).

Thanks. I'll change it tomorrow then.
What's a good place to get Redline MTL?
