Did something stupid.....
Ok, I was detailing my S and my wifes car this afternoon and made a major blunder. I was checking the oil on the S and noticed it was a tad low (still under the 7500 break in). Anyway to make a long story short I grabbed the wrong oil and added about 1/2 a quart of Mobil 1 synthetic. I don't think it will do any damage (I know you aren't supposed to use synthetic that early), but I am just looking for a little reassurance.
Anybody know for sure?

It is not recommended, but it should not do any harm what so ever. Think about this: when a person drains there synthetic oil from their car and refills the engine with regular oil, isn't he mixing the two oils together since it is impossible to drain out the original oil entirely out of the engine?

Mixing of the sythetic and non-synthetic shouldn't be a problem. Read the label, it should say that it's compatible with non-sythetic oils. If it's not 10W30, then you might as well sell the car now
If you were still using up oil on a regular basis, then it may continue for a slightly longer time. If you weren't using oil, it should be fine as is. If it worries you, spend the $30 and get a complete oil change with non-synthetic. Either way, I cant imagine any long term damage has been done.
