I'm glad there are still people out there willing to sale S2000's for what they should really be worth and not what Kelly Blue Book says or people with not quite enough money

This is just my opinion

Rather funny a car that 5 years ago went for $38,000 is now only worth $17,000 or so .... something's not right here, that's just crazy depreciation for a limited production car

I know milage has a lot to with it but still

Also, Seattle S2000 prices are arguably the highest in the country, and I have no idea why. When I was considering an '04 and '05, I couldn't get any dealers to budge much under MSRP.

Just enjoy the car man, nothing you can't do about it now. Plus thinking about it make you more piss off anyway. Can't cry over spill milk..

I just bought my sebring silver 02 from a private party for 22K, had 20K miles on it, and remainder of factory warranty. Although the car was in impeccable condition, not a scratch and tops and leather are in perfect condition as well. Would've liked an extended warranty, but then again. Its a Honda...

I just bought a Sebring '02 with 17,700 miles on it for $21,000. The car was also bought from a honda dealership and was certified. This was in the southest so things may be just really different up in the northwest.

Always negotiate the price of the car BEFORE you bring up the fact that you are trading a car in. Like someone else said it looks like they gave you more on the prelude but hiked the price up on the S2K.

I think you did fine on the purchase. What most of these characters are not taking into account is the fact that you got if from a Honda dealer and got 12K bumper to bumper warranty and out to 100K on drive train (excluding clutch of course) -- just don't mod the car.

Edmunds pricing in your area shows a retail value for a Certified warranted car at 25,300 for a car in Outstanding condition and 24,400 for a car in just Clean condition. I imagine yours is somewhere in between.

Drive and enjoy.
