hello all...

my s2000 is on order, and i'm waiting for it to come in, but before i take delivery, i was wondering what i should inspect on the car...ie, paint chips, etc.

if someone would be willing to give me a list of stuff i should look at and inspect before i accept delivery, that'd be great!!!

2 weeks and counting!!! the waiting is unbearable!!!

there is a section in there that deals with taking delivery and what you should inspect. lots of help!

 

Ask to be there for the PDI. While the tech had the car up on the lift, I was able to walk all around and underneath to check out every inch to check for scratches & stuff. Not to mention getting some familiarity with the underbody, engine components, etc....

Bring a flashlight!

So, about when is it due?

Before taking delivery of your S2000 make sure that the front bumper has not been scraped. Just look the body over for dents or scratches also make sure the hood has no dents since the hood is aluminum, then take it home and enjoy!

 

JonasM: good idea. i'll call my sales guy and see if i can be there for the PDI. I want to check and make sure the spring spacers are out...read too much about them not being removed...

i have no clue when its due. dealer said within two weeks...build date was march 19th, i bought it march 21st, and i'm waiting anxiously.... i want it now...

i just called the dealership and my sales rep just told me that the s2000 was shipped on march 19th. so you think its a good estimate to say that my car will be here in a couple of days or so? considering that the car will be delivered in seattle, so no train transport time required! i guess that's the advantage of living in a port...

If it SHIPPED on the 19th, then yes, within the next week should be about right. By the end of next week for sure. Lucky you!
