Default Definative differences between MY's 00 thru 04

I'm very curious as to the changes made between the MY's, even the subtile ones. I know they went to glass rw in 02 (or was it 03?). As I have an '04 I'm pretty sure the MT gearing is different. The exhaust is different, red line, liters, etc. But I don't REALLY know for sure! I have the trans gearing for the MY '00 but I have no idea if it was changed for other years other than '04. I can't seem to find the '04 trans gearing. See where I'm coming from/going to?

If you folks could chime in here and give me factual changes by MY I will take the data and put into a chart of some sort for all to use.

Thanks,

Erik

There were only a few changes made from 01 to 02, mainly being a few small cosmetic changes. The rear lights had chrome rings put around the inner lamps, and the rear window changed from a larger plastic window to a smaller glass. The wheels also were changed in accent paint color slighlty. The interior recieved some light silver touches, tweeters, a better head unit, and a leather trimed shifter knob. Mechanically I think the only change was to the syncros in the transmission to make it more user friendley.

From 03 to 04 of course there were a few major changes. The engine went from 2.0l to 2.2l and red line changed from the beloved 9k to 8k. There were also exterior cosmetic changes in the bumpers, lights, color options, wheels (also size upgrade), exaust tips, and optional accessories. As for the interior it was refreshed and made more driver friendly with an extra (but slightly disfunctional) cupholder, more sclupted door panels, better sound system, and more silver touches. Again the tranny was slighlty changed to make it more driver friendly, as was the suspension.

Overall alot has not changed since the orignial MY00. The car still retains about 90% of the orginal components from the MY00 model. None of the metal body panels have changed, and most of the inner workings are still the same. I also don't think anything has happened as far as gearing ratios, just slight changes in the gear box (but I stand to be corrected on this) to make shifts smoother. Look at it as the Honda's NSX, over the years the only things to happen during model changes are nips and tucks. As Car and Driver put it the previous model was too pure of a sports car for some people to stomach, so Honda steped in to make it more driver frindley.
